A gobela is someone who trains sangoma initiates. This type of relationship engagement can only be decided by the ancestral bloodlines of the gifted initiate and Gogo Dineo (better known as Mkhulu Gejane in the aspect of teacher/trainer – gobela). Mkhulu Gejane is the ancestral authority that has carved and created *iMpande of Ndlanzi Institute of Spiritual Healing (IOSH). iMpande is nguni word for root which is used as a metaphor for ‘spiritual family’ which one grows and learns from.

The institute uses indigenous knowledge systems to facilitate optimal functioning of the mind, spirit and body. It is a knowledge hub that trains those who are called to be sangomas as well as facilitate and educate the public on African Spirituality

The Ndlanzi Institute of Spiritual Healing is embedded in African ancestry and holds the belief that people who are connected to their ancestors are like trees with strong roots that possess a great ability to thrive. The IOSH continuously explores its function in the world in order to impart knowledge on African spirituality.

Gogo Dineo Ndlanzi has been a gobela since 2016. She now has an alumni of 27 sangoma’s that have graduated under her supervision.
